Tesla customers are still targeted by the carmaker with musk -rivaling

Tesla’s range of vehicles has expanded significantly in the last few years. For starters, the company offered Model S Luxury Sedan, then Model X Luxury SUV that has the seats, but not the space or affordable price that everyone is looking for.

Model 3 and Model Y are sedan and crossover vehicles that have launched the company in the mass market category. Cybertruck brought out the company’s first pickup design, and even though it is unorthodox, it is definitely functional.

But there is one thing Tesla is missing in its set -up, and it is a vehicle type that many have been waiting for and desires. The company has currently not announced any plans to make it, but its fans are high and persistent, and we have even pushed Tesla to consider doing so.

It’s a full -size SUV.

This particular segment is dominated by combustion engines at the moment: Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon topped sales with 105,756 and 82,304 units respectively. The Ford Expedition is just behind with 62,007 units sold last year. There are a few formidable competitors on the EV side of things with the Rivic R1s, GMC Hummer SUV EV and even Kia EV9.

However, Tesla has not yet dipped its toe in this market, and it seems that many of its fans are willing to admit that the company lacks a real “People Mover” with enough space to handle a cross -country skiing with a handful of children.

Why not the model x?

Model X is probably Tesla’s lowest selling vehicle. It contributes very little to the company’s overall mission, and even CEO Elon Musk once said that together with Model S it is produced only because of “sentimental reasons.”

When it comes to X, it’s simply not quite what people are looking for in the form of a full -size SUV. Instead, it’s more of a van/crossover SUV hybrid. It does not have plenty of cargo and interior space.

It has a lot of good tech, a flashy look and sufficient reach for that trip with the kids. It’s a great car, and one that Tesla plans to refine with an upcoming update, the other this decade.

However, it lacks what would qualify as an SUV in full size, especially considering that its third row is a bit tight, even for younger children.

But that is not quite what many would consider what Tesla needs to fill this void in its set -up.

What could come?

Many fans say they would like to see a CyberSuv-something built on the cybertruck platform, but in the form of a full size SUV. This is not entirely out of the question, especially considering that Tesla has already made it clear that Cybercab would adopt the same kind of aesthetics as Cybertruck.

However, we can all agree that it is far from what Cybertruck really is, and Tesla probably won’t build anything that is even close to the pickup. It already admitted that it would not adopt the exoskeleton in stainless steel for future vehicles in the Q4 2024 shareholder deck.

So if Tesla had to decide to build something that would be in the SUV segment in full size, it wouldn’t look like cyber truck.
