When the hottest months arrive, you need to help uninhibited veterans and their pets

While the number of unbridled veterans has fallen by more than 55% over the past 15 years, an estimated 32,882 veterans still experienced homelessness in 2024. You have long helped us support veterans in such situations and you can provide further help for an event later this month.

Our Partner Greater Good Charities (GGC) is ready to attend a distribution event for veterans, including those experiencing homelessness, at a stand -down event in Worcester, Massachusetts, on June 13.

GGC is working with VA to prioritize distributions in areas with high veteran poems, and this event is no different as the Worcester area has a poverty rate of 19.8%.

This upcoming stand Down event is the largest veteran-focused resource fair in Central Massachusetts, and it connects veterans with help programs available to them, including employment and training services, health and wellness services, housing resources, legal services, benefit counseling services and referrals for advice and drug abuse.

Send important supplies to homeless veterans and their pets

There will also be a number of free items that are given away, and this is where GGC comes in. They collaborate with organization 4 other Inc.s that provide hygiene resources to people who experience homelessness and those in transition or veteran housing. Together, they distribute hygiene supplies as well as pet supplies to those who need extra help to nurture their furry friends.

We are able to work with GGC to give these necessities – and comfort articles – to veterans and their pets thanks to your clicks, trivia participation, shopping for a case and direct donations. Thanks! If you would like to help with this upcoming event or others in the future, click below!
