Going to coffee shops is one of my favorite hobbies. I love to try new drinks. And I have made this exact Strawberry Matcha latte for years. It’s like a spring -fed version of my iced matcha latte (and warm matcha latte). Both are divine.

Ingredients you need for this strawberry matcha latte

Ingredients for strawberry matcha latte. Ingredients for strawberry matcha latte.
  1. Matcha – I like to use ceremonial quality matcha for all my matcha drinks.
  2. Strawberries – fresh delicious strawberries.
  3. Electoral Milk – I will usually go between oat milk or whole milk for this drink.
  4. Heavy cream – we need this for topping. The fat in the heavy cream is what will give us the delicious structure.

Recipe tip

Other fruit to use – I haven’t tried this with other fruits, but I think raspberries would be delicious. I would say that it may need a touch more honey as they tend to be tarter than strawberries. Blueberries, peaches and blackberries would all be delicious.

Ceremonial vs. conventional matcha – There are two different qualities of matcha. Ceremonial is higher quality and usually more expensive. It is best in drinks and conventional works well in baking (like my matcha tiramisu or chocolate matcha cake).

Recipe frequently asked questions

How does a strawberry matcha slat taste?

Umm … like heaven. But no one serious, the flavors are so complementary. The earthly slightly sweetened matcha goes so well with the fruity, bright strawberry foam. It’s creamy and delicious.

Is matcha healthy for you?

Matcha has a lot of antioxidents that can be really useful. It also has a slower release of caffeine in our system compared to coffee, which can be useful for people who are sensitive to caffeine.
