X CEO Linda Yaccarino has announced that she is stepping down as the CEO of the Social Media Platform. She shared her update in a post on X.
In her post, Yaccarino highlighted the work that the X team has done in the last two years under her leadership. According to the exercise, the company has made significant progress towards its goal of becoming the everything app. She also highlighted the company’s work on prioritizing the security of its users, especially children.

After two incredible years, I have decided to resign as CEO of 𝕏.
When @elonmusk and I first talked about his vision for X, I knew it would be the opportunity for life to perform this company’s extraordinary mission. I am extremely grateful to him for having entrusted me the responsibility of protecting freedom of speech, turning the business around and transforming X into the Everything app.
I am incredibly proud of the X -Team – the historical business that turns us has achieved together has been nothing short of remarkable.
We started with the critical early work needed to prioritize our user’s security – especially children and to restore the advertiser’s trust. This team has worked relentlessly from pioneering innovations as social notes, and soon x money to bring the most iconic voices and content to the platform. Now the best thing is to come as X enters a new chapter with @xai.
X is truly a digital square for all voices and the world’s most powerful cultural signal. We could not have achieved it without the support of our users, business partners and the most innovative team in the world.

Elon Musk has issued a response to Yaccarino’s decision to resign as X’s CEO. In a response, Musk thanked Executive for his work on the social media platform in the last two years.
“Thank you for your contributions,” Musk wrote.
Under Yaccarino’s leadership, X Rocky Waters crossed and restored himself as a square where the world’s most notable people are within reach of everyday users across the globe. She also helped lead the company through her acquisition of Elon Musk’s artificial start of intelligence, Xai. At that time, the agreement valued x to $ 33 billion, lower than the $ 44 billion that Elon Musk paid for Twitter, but especially higher than estimates from companies such as Fidelity, which appreciated the social media platform of less than $ 10 billion at the end of 2024.
